Goalkeepr, Boubacar Barry, wins the AFCON trophy for Cote D'Ivoire with a wounded hand!!!

It was a tough match although it ended goalless. They then went into the 30 minutes of extra time which also failed to yield any goal. The penalty shootout in my opinion was the highlight of the match.

It was drama. It was emotional. Cote D'Ivoire lost their first two penalties while Ghana scored theirs. No one would have guessed from the beginning that Ghana would lose the shootout. After the first five penalties it was three apiece. They now went into sudden death where each side scored the first four penalties.

It was the fifth penalties that made Ivorian goalkeeper Boubacar Barry the hero. He saved Ghana's fifth penalty injuring his right wrist. After a few minutes of treatment, he took the final penalty and scored winning the AFCON trophy. He couldn't believe he was the hero. He couldn't hold back the tears.

Ghanaian midfielder, Andre Ayew wept uncontrollably too, but his was for losing. He kept on crying even after receiving his second place medal.

Congratulations to Cote D'Ivoire...
